Marketing Intern
Looking for six to 12 months experience to help launch your career? Want to know more about working in the charity sector? Mad about wildlife? We currently have an opportunity for a graduate intern to join our busy, thriving team, here in Eastleigh, Hampshire. Working closely with our Chief Executive you will help implement an exciting range of activities to promote The Grasslands Trust during 2010 - The Year of Biodiversity - and beyond. Specific tasks include taking forward the development of The Grasslands Trust's online shop; producing branded materials for shows and events; researching, planning and attending events and helping to keep our website and publications up-to-date. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a significant difference to our work and is ideally suited to someone keen to launch themselves into the charity or environment sector. Excellent writing and communication skills are essential as is an understanding of on-line marketing, together with an appreciation of the natural world and the ethos of The Grasslands Trust. Trustees
We are looking for three individuals who have the time and enthusiasm to become a trustee of The Grasslands Trust. Commitment and time are absoluely key - as is an understanding of the legal duties and responsibilities involved. You'll need to have strategic vision and good, independent judgement; an ability to think creatively and be open minded; enjoy forging networks and alliances; and be an effective team worker with sound leadership, communication and people skills.
Our challenges over the next five years are immense so we are looking for 100% commitment to our cause. Our aspirations are to see more grassland sites saved, more research undertaken; greater public awareness and more pressure put on government to improve conservation laws. In return you will have the opportunity to work alongside some of the UK's finest ecologists and wildlife experts; learn about and experience first hand what makes grasslands so special whilst contributing to the effectiveness of the charity as whole.
For more information please contact our Chief Executive, Lucy Cooper.
