The Grasslands Trust

Our work

- Mission & objectives -

Broad-bordered Bee Hawkmoth feeding on common knapweed

The Grasslands Trust was established in 2002 to address the crisis facing our wildflower-rich grasslands. Our vision is that one day everyone in the UK will have a beautiful meadow close to their home.

What do we actually do?

  • We help save and restore threatened sites and raise awareness of the importance of grasslands: not only for their wildlife, but also their cultural, historic and landscape value.
  • We give advice to individuals, local communities, businesses, charities, government and landowners on how to manage and restore grasslands nationwide. If you want advice click here.
  • We lobby decision makers to ensure grasslands are better protected. Learn more about our campaigning and lobbying here.
